Pharmacogenomics day “Bioinformatics tools for next-generation sequencing analysis in pharmacogenomics” May 24th 2024, within 32nd Meeting of the European Society of Paediatric Clinical Research, Opatija, Croatia

Fifth Pharmacogenomics Day “Bioinformatics tools for next-generation sequencing analysis in pharmacogenomics” was held on May 24th 2025, within 32nd Meeting of the European Society of Paediatric Clinical Research, Congress Center Conference Park 25/7 in Opatija, Croatia, from May 24.-25th, 2024. It was also the 25th Golden Helix Pharmacogenomics Day since the meeting was co-organized by the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering and the Golden Helix Foundation, as part of the PharmGenHUB project. This international event was open for biomedical scientists, hospital and general pharmacists, specialists, general practitioners, medical students, laboratory technicians, regulators, healthcare insurers and others interested in pharmacogenomics. Number of participants was around 120, coming from all Western Balkan countries (Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, all entities of B&H). Also, a number of medical doctors-pediatrician from EU countries, such as Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Check Republic, Slovakia and Greece were present. The representatives from the government and universities of Croatia were present, as well as regional TV and other media. WB partner Prof. dr Jelena Roganovic from Children’s Hospital Zagreb and Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development University of Rijeka, was actively involved in the organization of this PGX day. Also, two speakers from The Golden Helix Foundation, London, UK were a part of the Workshop. The leaflets were available to all participants of the meeting.
