On the June 20th, 2025, the final meeting of the PharmGenHUB project partners was held at IMGGE in Belgrade. The event marked the PharmGenHUB Western Balkan Conference and the official launch of the Pharmacogenomics HUB for the Western Balkan region. During the meeting, dr Branka Zukic, dr George P. Patrinos, dr Vita Dolzan, dr Gabriele Stocco, and dr Christina Mitropoulou presented key insights and the achievements of the PharmGenHUB project. Dr Sonja Pavlović led an engaging discussion on the scientific advancements in pharmacogenetic testing across the WB region. Valuable clinical perspectives were shared by dr Violeta Atanasovska and dr Marija Vuković, representing centers from North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The achievements of PharmGen HUB project were presented at the Conference. All the participants emphasized that strong networking was made, continuing collaboration and strengthening the pharmacogenomics research and implementation in medical practice in the Western Balkans, as well as advancing long-term connections between EU and WB partners. In accordance with that, new opportunities for joint projects were presented.
